At least six vehicles were involved in a crash on FM 730 in Azle on Tuesday.

Police have not yet released official details on the number of fatalities and injuries, but there appeared to be several bodies covered by tarps at the scene.

AZLE, Texas - Several people died in a multi-vehicle crash on FB 730 in Azle on Tuesday.

What we know:

According to Azle police, the crash happened before 1 p.m. on FM 730 near Winding Way.

Images from SKY 4 showed at least six vehicles that were involved. There also appeared to be several bodies under tarps at the scene of the crash.

First responders said several others were taken to area hospitals.
