A Bridgeton man who allegedly shot and killed a Millville man in June was indicted last week, Cumberland County Prosecutor Jennifer Webb-McRae said.
Trasuf J. Bennett, 20, was indicted Sept. 17 on charges of murder, unlawful possession of a weapon and possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose in the death of Roshaud Rhett, 20. A 16-year-old boy is also charged in the case.
Additionally, James L. Henry, 19, of Millville, was indicted on weapons offenses for allegedly returning fire toward the vehicle operated by Bennett.
Authorities previously said Bennett pulled up in a vehicle and fatally shot Rhett on June 14 in the 300 block of Maurice Street in Millville. Rhett was transported to Inspira Medical Center Vineland and pronounced dead.
