Clean water is one of Florida’s most valuable resources. It sustains our families, our economy, and the natural beauty that makes our state unique. Yet new survey results show what many Floridians already feel: our water future is at risk. Nearly 9 in 10 Floridians express concern about access to clean, safe water over the next 10 years.

And they are right to be concerned.

The wastewater treatment systems we rely on today are outdated, slow, and costly. Traditional plants take five to six days to process water. They consume vast amounts of energy, generate foul odors, and create pollution. Traditional systems were not designed for Florida’s rapid growth, nor for the mounting pressures of climate change and increasingly stronger hurricanes.

Floridians know we need a better way.
