AUBURN — As its offensive line struggled to protect Jackson Arnold on Saturday, Sept. 20, Auburn football 's situation in the trenches briefly went from bad to worse as starting center Connor Lew exited an eventual 24-17 loss to Oklahoma with an apparent lower body injury.
That lasted for five snaps, however, as Lew returned and relieved 17-old-year freshman Kail Ellis of his reserve duties.
On Monday, Sept. 22, Hugh Freeze said Lew sprained his MCL, though he believed his starting center would play this weekend against No. 9 Texas A&M on Saturday, Sept. 27.
