SOUTH BEND, Ind. (WNDU) - A longtime Michiana resource for families of adults and children with intellectual and developmental disabilities says it is deeply concerned after the Trump administration made an announcement linking autism to acetaminophen use during pregnancy .
Acetaminophen — the active ingredient in Tylenol and other widely used medications — is often recommended by doctors for pregnant women experiencing a high fever, which doctors say can pose health risks to both the mother and the baby if left untreated.
