NEWINGTON, Conn. (WTNH) — A Hartford man was arrested after an alleged home invasion and assault on Saturday in Newington, police said.
Daniel Sampel, 25, was arrested after an alleged domestic dispute at a residence in Newington, according to police. Sampel allegedly assaulted a woman before she retreated into the residence.
Sampel then forced entry to the residence by breaking the front door.
The woman was able to call police. Sampel fled the scene in a vehicle and allegedly led police on a pursuit through Hartford where the vehicle was disabled by police, where he was then arrested.
Two children were found in the residence with the woman, police said.
