A longtime Community Living Wallaceburg board member and volunteer in the community has been recognized for his contributions with a provincial award.

Chris Taylor recently received the Jason Rae Award at the Community Living Ontario annual conference. The award, which comes with a $1,000 prize, is given to a “civic-minded community leader who identifies as having an intellectual disability,” according to Community Living.

Taylor has been with the Community Living Wallaceburg board since 2014. He has also volunteered in media roles for YourTV Chatham-Kent and the CKXS radio station in Wallaceburg, and has managed videography and IT for the Chatham Maroons.
