SAN ANTONIO (WJW) - A Texas mother faces charges after investigators said her two young children were reportedly found dead inside her car over the weekend.

According to the Bexar County Sheriff's Office, deputies were called to the 7000 block of Chancery Gate in San Antonio on Saturday after a woman reported finding her children unresponsive in her vehicle.

When deputies got there, the children -- ages 3 and 6 -- were unresponsive in the home. A deputy started life-saving measures until EMS crews arrived, but both kids were pronounced dead at the scene just after 3:30 p.m.

The mother, identified as 28-year-old Tiona Islar, told investigators that she last saw her children around 8 a.m. before she fell asleep.
