AUGUSTA, Ga. (WJBF) - Richmond County Coroner Mark Bowen released the identity of a man who was found dead at 5th Street and Taylor Street on Sept. 7.

On Tuesday, Sept. 23, the coroner identified the individual as 46-year-old Mario Smith of Augusta.

An autopsy was performed due to the condition of the body and a possible head injury, according to the coroner. Autopsy results are still pending.
