NASHUA, N.H. —

A man accused of shooting and killing another man at Sky Meadow Country Club in Nashua has a criminal past, News 9 Investigates has learned.

Court documents show that Hunter Nadeau, 23, who is charged with second-degree murder in connection with Saturday's shooting, was arrested in the spring on a charge of simple assault.

He was ordered to be on good behavior just over two weeks before the shooting at the country club .

According to court paperwork, Nadeau was accused of pushing an employee to the ground on Feb. 16 in the self-checkout area of Shaw's on Daniel Webster Highway in Nashua.

Nadeau was arrested on April 13 and charged with simple assault. A finding was issued on Sept. 4 ordering
