Growing up, I remember not infrequently being labeled a picky eater. That wasn’t entirely untrue, I suppose, though I also distinctly recall the feeling of that label being applied unfairly. Like there was a great cosmic injustice occurring somehow but I didn’t have any evidence to prove it. Having seen the AskReddit thread at the heart of today’s piece, I wish I could have referenced it back then, just to show people examples of what actually strange consumption habits looked like.
