CRAWFORD COUNTY, Wis. (WFRV) - A 67-year-old Minnesota man was severely injured after falling about 20-25 feet from a tree stand in Wisconsin on September 19.

According to the Crawford County Sheriff's Office, a report came in at around 2:55 p.m. that a man fell out of a tree stand near 61642 Ducharme Ridge Road.

First responders found the man, identified as Mark Prestrud of Rosemount, Minnesota, lying on the ground under a portable tree-stand with a family member nearby.

Officials estimate that he had fallen at least 20 feet, causing severe injuries that required immediate medical attention. First responders carried him out of the woods as he was then airlifted for further attention.
