A woman accused of killing her 2-year-old daughter in North Carolina was arrested this week in Connecticut and is awaiting extradition to face murder and felony child abuse charges.

Raja Drain, 28, was taken into custody Monday night in Wethersfield during a domestic-related incident. Police discovered an active warrant for her arrest out of Bertie County, North Carolina. Drain appeared in New Britain Superior Court on Tuesday and waived her extradition hearing.
