CLEVELAND -- The biggest series of the season starts tonight.

The Detroit Tigers (85-71) play the Cleveland Guardians (84-72) on Tuesday at 6:40 p.m. at Progressive Field in a series that could settle the American League Central.

Catcher Jake Rogers; infielders Trey Sweeney, Andy Ibanez and Jace Jung; and outfielder Jahmai Jones will be available off the bench. The full lineup is below.

Tigers ace left-hander Tarik Skubal (13-5, 2.23 ERA) will face Guards right-hander Gavin Williams (11-5, 3.06).

Williams threw five shutout innings, striking out nine, against the Tigers on Sept. 17 in Detroit . Skubal faced the Guardians a day later , throwing seven strong innings in a 3-1 loss.
