SPOKANE VALLEY, Wash. — Spokane Valley drivers who typically use North Pines Road near East Trent Avenue should expect some changes to their commute this weekend.

The City of Spokane Valley said Pines Road from north of Pinecroft Road to East Trent Avenue will be fully closed Sunday into Monday afternoon. The closure will be in effect from Sunday, September 28 at 6 a.m. to Monday, September 29 at 4 p.m.

The City said the work is being done for future grade separation at Pines Road and Trent Avenue to move more vehicles under the bridge for safer and more efficient travel.

The City said there will be a detour at Pines Road and Mansfield Road for southbound drivers. There will also be a detour for northbound drivers at University Road and Sullivan Road. Access will be available at Mansfie
