In a surprising move, the Titans on Tuesday traded starting cornerback Jarvis Brownlee and a seventh-round draft pick in 2026 to the New York Jets in exchange for a sixth-round draft pick in 2026.
A fifth-round pick in 2024, Brownlee missed last Sunday’s game because of an ankle injury but had started 16 of a possible 19 contests before that.
As a rookie, Brownlee finished third on the Titans with 74 tackles and ranked fifth among AFC rookies with nine passes defensed. The 24-year-old Brownlee posted seven tackles for loss in 2024, tops among all rookie defensive backs.
In two games this season, the 24-year-old Brownlee had produced nine tackles, including two tackles for loss.
