A Massachusetts man who pleaded guilty to charges that he and his wife sexually assaulted young girls, including their daughter, after providing alcohol and marijuana, has been sentenced to more than a quarter-century in prison.
Shayne Medeiros, 38, of Fairhaven, has received a sentence of 26 years in state prison that will be followed by 10 years of supervised probation, for a slew of child molestation charges. His wife, Leslie Medeiros, who has also pleaded guilty in the case, will be sentenced in November.
Bristol County District Attorney Thomas M. Quinn III says Shayne Medeiros’ sentence, handed down by Fall River Superior Court Justice Thomas Perrino, is “more than deserved.”
