LOUISVILLE, Ky. — The Louisville Metro Housing Coalition has released its report on the city’s housing and utility costs.
The report, developed in partnership with the Southeast Energy Efficiency Alliance, examines the impact of rising utility expenses on Louisville families and offers policy recommendations aimed at creating lasting affordability.
According to the report, lower income residents in Louisville pay around 14% of their income on electricity alone, with the majority of the energy burden going towards west Louisville.
