JOHNSTOWN, Pa. (WTAJ)--The Johnstown Fire Department is preparing to unveil a new memorial park dedicated to honoring firefighters who have died in the line of duty.

Located at the corner of Franklin and Vine Streets near the Firefighters Memorial Bridge, the Johnstown Firefighters Memorial Park features a bell monument inscribed with the names of seven fallen firefighters. The park includes plaques that tell the stories of these individuals who risked their lives to save others.

"Probably been a two to three year project. Construction just finished up here within the last two or three months," Captain Raymond Penatzer, who has been involved in the project said.
