ATLANTA, Ga. (Atlanta News First) - Several Georgia universities were recognized as top colleges in the country by U.S. News and World Report.
The rankings for the best colleges in the nation, varying from different categories, were released on Tuesday.
In the categories for the top National Universities, Emory University made the top 25 at No. 24, while Georgia Tech and the University of Georgia ranked at No. 32 and No. 46, respectively. Georgia State University was ranked at No. 198.
U.S. News and World Report also ranked the best Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs) in the country, with Spelman College taking the No. 1 spot, followed by Morehouse College at No. 3. Clark Atlanta University received the No. 16 ranking.
