Massachusetts researchers and parents are expressing concern after President Donald Trump administration's claims about a link between Tylenol use during pregnancy and autism.
The scientists behind the study cited by the president, including those from Harvard University's Chan School of Public Health, emphasized that more research is needed to confirm any association. They maintain that Tylenol remains an important tool for pregnant patients, recommending its use in small doses and for short periods.
Lenard Zohn, whose son was born with autism 20 years ago, expressed concern about the president's statements.
"We started thinking back. Did she take Tylenol? Did she not take Tylenol? Like I said, it was 20 years ago," Zohn said.
