HOUSTON (KIAH) — A 12-year-old girl was shot in what police are calling a drive-by shooting in northwest Houston on Tuesday evening.

Around 4:30 p.m., police were called to the 2000 block on Jacquelyn Drive and found the victim with a gunshot wound. She was taken to a local hospital and was conscious and responsive, police said.

The investigation is still active at this time.
