UNITED NATIONS — After President Donald Trump’s nearly hourlong speech at the United Nations General Assembly in New York on Tuesday, he held a series of meetings with international leaders, including U.N. Secretary-General António Guterres, European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen and Ukrainian President Volodmyr Zelenskyy.
Sitting beside Zelenskyy, Trump said the war may not end “for a long time” as the Ukrainian leader was in town to urge the U.S. president and other world leaders to renew their support for his country after 3½ years of fighting since Russia launched its full-scale invasion.
