SPRINGFIELD, Mo. (KY3) - A pair of Springfield hotels remains open after their owner was charged with operating without a license, and there’s a warrant for his arrest. The man owns the Motel 6 and the Quality Inn and Suites on Glenstone Avenue.

Because they’re operating without a license, the Greene County Prosecutor said they have to close. But they’re still open, with people checking in and out. According to court documents, operating a hotel without the proper lodging license is a misdemeanor charge.

Court documents show that back on October 10, 2024, Haresakamar Surti of McKinney, Texas, applied for a Missouri Lodging Establishment License for the 2024-25 licensing year. That application was denied due to the establishments failing inspections. An appeal date of October 31, 2024, wa
