Cat City Grill has operated on Magnolia Avenue in Fort Worth for 15 and a half years. Earlier this month, the owners announced that they will be closing on Sept. 28.
Long-time Cat City Grill customer Genell Boothe was overcome with emotion talking about the restaurant closing.
“We are going to miss them a lot,” Booth said while fighting back tears.
This connection is why Martin Thompson opened Cat City Grill 15 and a half years ago.
“The relationships and friends that I made in this industry have been amazing, and I wouldn’t trade it for the world,” Thompson said.
He said several factors are causing him to close these doors for good. One of those reasons is something that affects all of us. That is rising costs, which hit restaurants even harder.
