MCKENZIE BRIDGE, Ore. - The Foley Ridge Fire has reached 40% containment, covering 497 acres, said fire management officials.

According to the Central Oregon Type 3 Incident Management Team 1, fire activity remains minimal, but hotter and drier conditions could increase activity in the coming days. The Lane County Sheriff's Office has downgraded evacuation notices to Level 1 for areas including HWY 242, Yale Camp, and White Branch Youth Camp. Residents should remain prepared and check evacuation statuses online.

Fire crews are actively engaging the fire on all flanks, utilizing saw lines and handline construction to manage its spread. Mop-up operations are progressing on the southern, northern, and eastern edges.
