Nearly two months after center Gregg Glenn’s tragic drowning in Florida , Tulane basketball coach Ron Hunter spoke publicly about his death for the first time on Tuesday.

He said even the 58-day interlude was not enough time to process the grief for him or his players after preseason practice began Monday.

“I don’t know if we’ve moved on,” he said, admitting he woke up not wanting to do a media session but found it therapeutic. “My guys are not ready (to talk about it) yet. They are just not there yet and we have to let them move at their own pace with that.”

Almost everything has changed. Hunter typically shows highlights of the previous year to the team before its opening practice, but he could not do it this time because Glenn was involved in all of them.
