PEORIA, Ill. (WMBD) -- After recent announcements from President Trump about the drug Tylenol being taken during pregnancy and autism, doctors are saying there is no correlation.
"Tylenol has been proven safe. In fact, multiple medical groups and communities have come out with strong data that supports the use of Tylenol during pregnancy," said Dr. Terry Ho, managing medical director for pediatric practices in Central Illinois.
Many studies that have resurfaced have shown that there is a correlation between the two, but other larger studies have shown otherwise. Local medical professionals have also shared that some medical groups even encourage using it to treat fevers and infections.
