LAS VEGAS (KTNV) — Metro police have confirmed that Nevada state senator Edgar Flores was driving above the legal limit on Friday, Sept.12.
Blood tests taken confirm a blood alcohol content of 0.082, and the second test shows a blood alcohol content level of 0.062 at the time of the test, according to Metro Police.
The legal limit for Nevada drivers is 0.08.
The blood tests were taken hours after his arrest. One test was taken at 7:35 a.m., and the second test was taken at 8:35 a.m.
Flores was found "sleeping in the driver's seat" early morning at 3:20 a.m. at the intersection of North Lamb Boulevard and East Lake Mead Boulevard.
According to Flores, he had one beer around midnight and "must have fallen asleep," in body camera footage released by the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police
