NOGALES, Ariz. (KVOA) - Due to ongoing drought conditions, visitors to Madera Canyon in the Nogales Ranger District are being asked to voluntarily reduce water usage.

Visitors are encouraged to bring all the water they need for picnics, camping, hiking, birding, or other recreational activities. Authorities warn not to rely on potable water being available in the canyon.

This advisory is effective immediately as officials work to manage the limited water resources in the area.
