BENNINGTON Neb. (WOWT) - Tuesday morning’s weather may have looked bad, but it didn’t stop the fun for hundreds of special education students at Bennington High School’s football stadium, taking part in “Games On The Green.”

Senior Addison Yates told First Alert 6 students of different abilities have been invited to the school to take part in the games for the last four years

“It’s super fun and you get to collaborate with a bunch of different schools and their unified programs,” Yates said.

The games weren’t reserved for kids in the Bennington school district; students from five other metro districts also joined in the fun.

Games included relay races, ultimate tic-tac-toe, red light, green light, over here and more. Teacher Dean Wood said the goal of these games goes beyond just winni
