CLEVELAND, Ohio — The Cavs’ roster is just about set.

A week ahead of training camp, the team agreed to a one-year deal with free agent center Thomas Bryant, sources tell cleveland.com.

Bryant, 28, had been on Cleveland’s radar for months, going back to the start of free agency, as it considered numerous backup bigs.

Despite chatter about him possibly rebuffing all NBA offers to play overseas, Bryant eventually opted for a one-year deal on the veteran’s minimum, becoming the 14th full-time member of the Cavaliers’ talented roster. Even though that is one short of the maximum, the cap-strapped Cavs are only planning to carry 14 into the season, maintaining roster flexibility and avoiding an even more lucrative luxury tax bill.

Cleveland still has a two-way slot it is planning to fill.
