STORRS, CT. (WFSB) - When the UConn football team takes the field Saturday against Buffalo, there’s probably going to be a few more handshakes and hugs than usual.

Bulls Quarterback Ta’Quan Roberson was previously on the Huskies. In 2023, he threw for more than 2,000 yards and 10 touchdowns.

“We have a lot of respect for Taquan. He came here and started for us, led to us a touchdown against Utah State, then he got hurt, broke his ankle running towards out bench. He’s fought hard to come back,” said UConn Head Coach Jim Mora.

“It was fun playing with Taquan, we didn’t play a lot together. I’ve been rooting for all the time except for this Saturday. Yeah, I’ll, looking forward to seeing him,” said Quarterback Joe Fagnano.
