The Brew Box is looking to open a new coffee shop on Hohman Avenue in downtown Hammond.
It will be located in The Banc but will have its own entrance. The coffee shop will have about 25 seats. Residents of the Banc also can take their coffee to The Venue, the former bank lobby with 38-foot-tall ceilings and German woodwork.
“Michigan City will be more to-go but Hammond will be more sit-down and more chill,” owner Michelle Dickman said. “There’s more space to sit-down and relax for a while.”
Dickman is opening Brew Boxes in Hammond and Michigan City along with Levi McDowell and Joseph Tagler.
Dickman owns the Downtown Delights yogurt shop in LaPorte and ended up getting into the coffee shop business after scouting for new locations.
