COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (KKTV) - At a time when food banks are reporting fewer donations and more of a need, a local group of car dealerships is collecting nonperishable food.
This week, Ford dealerships across the world are kicking off the Ford Motor Company’s Ford Building Together initiative by collecting nonperishable food. Two local dealerships, Phil Long Ford of Chapel Hills and Phil Long Ford of Motor City, are joining in.
“It’s globally. There’s 9,000 dealerships across the world,” Service Director for Phil Long Chapel Hills Steven Hogarth said. “Phil Long, being big into philanthropic activities that we do, we’re joining this initiative to collect food for the people that need it.”
