CHARLOTTE, N.C. (WBTV) - A 20-year-old Charlotte man was accused of shooting a juvenile in the head over the weekend, according to an affidavit.

According to the affidavit, on Sunday, Sept. 21, officers with Charlotte police responded to a home located off E. Todd Lane in northwest Charlotte around 3:40 a.m.

Officials said when officers arrived at the home, they found a 16-year-old, identified in the affidavit as J.G., with a gunshot wound near his right temple and right upper arm. He was transported to a hospital with life-threatening injuries.

Charlotte police said they spoke with a 17-year-old witnesses, identified only as L.M.

The affidavit said that L.M. was in the bedroom with his brother, 21-year-old Deodato Martinez, J.G., and another friend identified as 20-year-old Youse Ramo
