The Guardians had a magical start to September — now it remains to be seen if they can bring it home during the final week of the regular season.

The Guardians moved into a tie for first place with the Tigers in the American League Central with a 5-2 win over Detroit on Tuesday, Sept. 23. The win also clinched the season series in Cleveland's favor, meaning the Guardians own the head-to-head tiebreaker against the Tigers.

The Guardians have played their best baseball in September, winning 15 times in a 17-game span to keep themselves in the race for one of the three American League wild card spots and in the AL Central Division, which led into a massive three-game series against the Detroit Tigers that began Tuesday.
