TUCSON, Ariz. (KVOA) - Voters in Arizona’s 7th Congressional District have just under an hour to cast their ballots in a special election. The Arizona Secretary of State’s Office reports a strong turnout for mail-in voting as thousands of election day voters in Pima County added to the total.
Pima County had seen more than 4,500 people vote just after 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday evening, although this is overshadowed by the more than 55,000 who already voted early.
The election includes six Arizona counties, with nearly 65% of those voters residing in Pima County. The Arizona Secretary of State’s Office announced Tuesday voters returned more than 82,000 early ballots by last Friday.
