Republican Sen. Bill Cassidy has given America’s largest physician association two weeks to provide evidence it is complying with President Donald Trump’s Executive Order prohibiting the use of government funds to promote child sex-change interventions.
In a letter sent to the American Medical Association (AMA) on Sept. 23, which represents more than 270,000 members, Cassidy, chairman of the U.S. Senate Committee on Health, Education, Labor, and Pensions (HELP), asks the AMA to provide evidence they have complied with President Trump’s Executive Order titled “Protecting Children From Chemical And Surgical Mutilation” by Oct. 7, 2025.
