A man was killed in an “industrial accident” at a business in Avon Tuesday afternoon, according to police.
Avon police and firefighters responded to a 911 call reporting an accident at 254 Bodwell St. in which a man injured his head shortly before 3 p.m., police said in a press release. First-responders found a man with fatal injuries inside the business.
A blood transfusion truck from Canton and an ambulance from Stoughton also responded, but the man was declared dead at the scene, police said. The Norfolk County District Attorney’s Office, the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) and the state Chief Medical Examiner’s Office are all investigating the man’s death.
