Premier Jeremy Rockliff has denied accusations that inducements have been offered to independent Legislative Council members in order to get their support for the proposed Macquarie Point stadium.
Both houses of Parliament will be required later this year to vote on an order to commence the construction of the $1.13 billion stadium on Hobart's waterfront to be home to a Tasmanian AFL team from 2029.
The order will progress through the House of Assembly with Labor's support ; however, its passage through the upper house is uncertain.
