EAST LANSING – The Michigan State men's soccer team collectively thought it was playing pretty good soccer, it just hadn't been rewarded at the start of Big Ten play. The Spartans came into its Sept. 23 matchup with No. 3 Indiana at 0-2 in conference, falling to Washington and Ohio State in the past two games.
The goal was to get back on track – a reset for the season that could start with a big-time upset at home. Behind freshman midfielder Peter Soudan's brace in the 48th minute and some top-tier defending and goaltending, MSU was able to do just that, earning a 1-0 win over the Hoosiers.
