SULPHUR, La. (KPLC) - CO2 is one of the most talked-about topics in Louisiana.
Tonight, residents were able to pose their questions and share their opinions on current and pending pipelines at a town hall meeting in Sulphur.
Louisiana approved the first carbon capture storage well near Hackberry. Since the approval, there have been mixed reviews from residents about what this industry will do to the state.
“That is because people are still sleeping. We’ve got to wake people up somehow,” one resident said.
HealthyGulf hosted tonight’s meeting. The goal was to share more information with residents about this growing industry.
