SCITUATE, R.I. (WPRI) — An investigation is underway after a truck carrying bales of hay caught fire in Scituate Tuesday night.

12 News spotted flames shooting from hay bales scattered across Betty Pond Road around 8:30 p.m.

It's unclear what caused the fire at this time or if anyone was injured.

12 News has reached out to the Hope Jackson Fire Department regarding the incident but has not heard back yet.
