HARLEM, Manhattan - More legal action as a result of the deadly Legionnaires' outbreak this past summer in Harlem.

Attorney Ben Crump and attorneys with Weitz & Luxenberg have now filed three lawsuits against the construction company, Skanska. They have also filed 18 notices of claim against New York City, including four for wrongful death.

Jared Scotto, an attorney with Weitz & Luxenberg said Skanska failed to register its cooling tower at 40 West 137th Street with New York City and added "the city owned four of the 10 buildings that had water towers that tested positive for legionella after July 25th, and we believe as building owners, the city had a responsibility to make sure those cooling towers were checked and cleaned."
