EAST LANSING- The Michigan High School Athletic Association recently held elections to fill its legislative body and representative council. Six members were re-elected, while two new members were picked to join.

Kingsford athletic director Chris Hartman was one of those re-elected to continue representing Class A and B schools in the Upper Peninsula. Boyne City principal Adam Stefanski was also re-elected to continue serving junior high/middle schools.

Ellsworth superintendent Aaron Gaffney was selected to serve a second year of the term representing class C and D schools in the northern section of the Lower Peninsula, a position previously held by former Harbor Springs athletic director Anna Novak.

The Representative Council is the 19-member legislative body of the MHSAA.
