Two people were killed when an Amtrak train traveling from New Orleans to Mobile collided with a vehicle that was blocking the tracks Tuesday night, No one aboard the train reported any injuries, according to Amtrak officials.

The crash happened shortly after 7 p.m. in Pass Christian, near Bay St. Louis. According to WLOX, police confirmed that the two people in the vehicle were killed.

Amtrak spokesperson Beth Toll told WWL-TV that 97 passengers were on board the train at the time, but no injuries were reported among passengers or crew.
