Turners Falls has defeated Athol in its last five matchups, most recently in both teams’ season openers on Sept. 3 of this year, with the Thunder winning 3-1.

In fact, the Bears’ head coach Donna Lajoie could not recall the last time one of her teams has beaten Turners Falls in her 18 years of coaching at the girls varsity level.
