EAST LANSING, Mich. (WLNS) – The Michigan State men's soccer team earned their first Big Ten win of the season on Tuesday night, upsetting the 3rd ranked Indiana Hoosiers.

Michigan State freshman Peter Soudan scored the Spartans lone goal in the 48th minute and that was all the Spartans needed to win it. Lock down defense and big time stops from redshirt senior goalkeeper Zac Kelly helped give the Spartans their biggest ranked win since 2014.

"We've had two tough losses that could have gone either way, and were games that we probably deserved more from," said Soudan. "To stay strong coming into a really good Indiana team here and pick ourselves up and get a win, it's a really huge result."
