WEST YELLOWSTONE, Mont. – Police in West Yellowstone have issued a safety alert following recent bear sightings on the west side of town.

The West Yellowstone Police Department reported multiple sightings of a black bear. The bear was last seen on Gibbon Avenue near Iris Street.

Residents are advised to remain vigilant and report any additional sightings to local authorities.
